This solid edge grain maple cutting board features numerous stripes of bloodwood hardwood inlay and three circles of pearl resin. While those circles are flat, they have the optical illusion of depth, looking like craters in a moon.
This cutting board is designed to be fully reversible, with a display/serve side on the top and a work side on the bottom. Finger grooves have been cut in the edges to make for easier pick-up and carrying. Feet can be installed on the bottom if you request them. There’s still enough surface area to chop on the bottom, even with feet installed. A juice groove can also be cut on the bottom, if desired.
At 16” X 22” X 1 3/4”, this cutting board is solid without being excessively heavy. The maple strips are uniformly quartersawn, giving a smooth, even flow to the grain pattern of the cutting board.
