Crafted with sustainably harvested Black Walnut. These boards have a deep chocolate color highlighted with black streaks and some lighter-colored sapwood. Each board we make is completely unique and dependent on the tree that grew the wood. Due to the wide variation in colors within walnut we cannot guarantee any particular look or aesthetic.
Of the three hardwoods we use, walnut arguably has the highest 'Wow!' factor. In terms of durability, the walnut end grain butcher block has the perfect balance of scratch resistance and gentleness on knife edges.

Our standard black walnut end grain cutting boards are thick. Cutting board feet add an additional 3/4" and are highly recommended unless the user is under 5'3" (160cm) in height.

The 12x18 walnut end grain board was like a piece of fine furniture, perfectly smooth with seamless joints and beautiful contrast. I felt guilty slicing and chopping on it but the board was still unmarked and gorgeous after an hour of knife work. Top quality all around.

Worth the money
In addition to using it as a cutting board I also use it to make sandwiches, beautiful platform for hors d'oeuvres, sliced bread and cheeses etc. You will not find this in high-end kitchen stores either. Recommend getting the board butter

Absolutely love this cutting board
I received my board very quick. I only had to add a very small amount of oil and board butter to it. I have chopped quite a bit on it with very little cut marks. This has been my best purchase by far. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves chopping up vegetables.
