The hand-crafted walnut and maple brick pattern end-grain cutting boards are made with sustainably harvested wood.
Be sure to order well in advance, as these brick pattern cutting boards are labor-intensive and made-to-order. Allow for several weeks prior to shipping.
We carefully join solid hardwood using a professional-grade, waterproof adhesive that is FDA-approved for indirect food contact (an extra step many makers skip because it is 3 times the cost of cheaper glues). Thanks to the precision of our joinery and the unusually large solid wood blocks we use; your knife almost exclusively contacts wood when you chop. We did the math, and the total amount of glue your knife could encounter (on both faces of the board) is roughly equivalent to the size of a single grain of table salt.
We finish every board by hand with food-safe oil and Board Butter—because real craftsmanship means choosing quality, proven, and safe materials and doing things the right way, not the fast way.

The boards look much better in person than photos suggests. My knives glide effortlessly when slicing. The board gives out a solid "thunk" when chopping. I can barely feel where the maple and walnut meet. The walnut sidekick I purchased alongside it is pretty much the same. Im already thinking of buying another block+ sidekick combo.

Truly Beautiful Board
We have the "Brick" sidekick and big block. Both are amazing. The big block board is particularly stunning due to the brick pattern on such a large board. The way the maple lines break up the walnut pieces exhibits a wonderful contrast. It's certainly an investment, but with how sturdy and well crafted it is, I imagine it will last at least my lifetime if not more.
