The best way to care for a butcher block is with a combination of Cutting Board Oil and Board Butter. Chopping board oil penetrates deeply into wood fibers, and board butter is a great surface protectant that also gives the board a nice luster. Our beeswax is sourced from a beekeeper and conservationist in Ohio we've worked with for years. Most beeswax these days is sourced in China, and is often adulterated with large percentages of paraffin and stearin.  Ours, on the other hand,  is 100% beeswax and sourced exclusively in the U.S. (typically from hives in Ohio, North Dakota, and Idaho).

Each tin contains 8 oz of Pure Beeswax and USP Food Safe Mineral Oil in a resealable tub.

How to use:

Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and dry the cutting surface of your boardPour Cutting Board Oil on face of the board an ounce or two at a time until oil can no longer absorb into the board. This process might take a few minutes. Let dry and wipe away any excess.Using a soft cloth apply a quarter-sized dab of Board Butter and rub inFinish by buffing off any excess butter

Kranz cutting Board

We love our board. We had it installed permanently on the counter next to our new stove. It looks phenomenal, and works so well. I use it for all my cutting, except beets.

Very well built board, just not what I requested

Very well built cutting board. When I ordered it I specifically requested a lighter colored walnut with a pattern similar to the walnut end grain board pictured with two steaks on their website. I received a darker walnut board with a pattern I am not crazy about. The board was shipped 4 days after I ordered it. So to me this implies they didn’t take my request under consideration and just shipped a board they already had been mostly prebuilt, rather than built one from scratch. For the premium price I paid, I really expected more out of this company. Picture of my cutting board (just oiled) vs a picture of a lighter colored grain cutting board and pattern (from their website) I was hoping for is attached. Still a nice cutting board.
