Occasionally we choose to relegate some of our pretty boards to the Seconds page because our Team feels that it might not be as aesthetically pleasing to all tastes. We were conflicted on this one because it is a really pretty board! So if you like it, snag it at a discount!
All maple has some marking or streaking that is organic to the wood. You can read more about it Wisdom Behind the Wood and FAQ (under Trouble Shooting). It doesn't affect form or function. This one just has some darker spots, but not many mineral streaks.
