Occasionally we choose to relegate some of our pretty boards to the Seconds page because our Team feels that it might not be as aesthetically pleasing to all tastes.
All maple has some marking or streaking that is organic to the wood. You can read more about it Wisdom Behind the Wood and FAQ (under Trouble Shooting). It doesn't affect form or function. This one had a few too many mineral streaks and marks for us to sell at full price. There is nothing wrong with it and it should still last you for years to come if you take good care of it.
We WILL add feet, as there are already holes drilled and waiting. There is also a bottom groove, great for catching juices from meat off the grill. This is really a great board and you shouldn't hesitate to order this one.
