Occasionally we choose to relegate some of our pretty boards to the Seconds page because we need to trim a board down for one reason or another. That is what happened with this pretty board. It is more what we call a "One-Off" than a "Second" because it would sell at our premium rate except that it is off in size. This one is just an inch and a half shorter than our normal Carolina Cut 22 x 16 boards.
All maple has some marking or streaking that is organic to the wood. You can read more about it Wisdom Behind the Wood and FAQ (under Trouble Shooting). It doesn't affect form or function. This one is fairly "clean" and a very pretty board!
Feet are already installed. You can also add grooves and/or engraving.
