Perimeter Groove (+25)

We like this cutting board. I was asked about the perimeter groove. Seems like an odd request but OK. I requested the groove to catch juices from cooked meats I like to cook. The groove works as planned. Of course between cooked meats and associated juices, the groove catches all kinds of other stuff (crumbs from bread, chopped herb pieces, etc. even dry, the grooves are awkward to clean. But I don’t really care because no juices run off the board and onto the floor.

I have the Big Block Walnut End Grain Cutting Board with feet and a juice grove on the bottom. The board is quite the statement for the serious cook! It commands attention from a distance. Cutting on it is a dream. The only drawback for some people might be its size and weight. It is built like a tank, and it weighs like one. Granted, I have the largest size, so this is not unexpected. I am mentioning this to make sure that you realize what you are getting into. I did, and I am extremely happy with it!

Very pleased with my new cutting board. Slicing on it with a sharp knife leaves no marks. Very solid construction.
