Thousands of small pieces of high quality Maple, Walnut, and Cherry are meticulously combined to craft these one-of-a-kind boards. Each mosaic cutting board will be completely unique. These are a labor of love; the value of the hardwood used in a typical 18" X 24" mosaic block approaches $400... before any work is done. This is a Rectilinear Mosaic - all the pieces are rectangular, square, and/or aligned linearly.
This is just a little smaller than our Butcher size at 14 x 10 x 2. We have 11 of these available. The board pictured here may or may not be the board you purchase, but all boards are similar to this. Feet WILL be installed on this board. If you don't want feet, check the "remove feet" box before adding it to your cart. You can add finger grooves, juice groove and/or engraving for an additional fee.

this is the best boarrd for knives and keeping them sharp. my pleasure! lovely to look at as well.
I do not recommend investing in a boardsmith- I bought a larger model and even after I oiled it, the first time I placed hot steaks on it, the board got a dark stain on it that would not lift with scrubbing. I rubbed a thick paste of baking soda on it and the board warped and cracked and bent out of shape in just a few hours. This seems like with just regular use the board could withstand what should be reasonable use- placing meat from a grill and being able to clean it with out completely destroying it. My Boos board has never responded in this way.
