This beautiful board is what we consider a "one-off". We occasionally have to trim a board down for one reason or another. In this case we made a batch of custom boards, but accidentally added grooves that were not ordered. So there is nothing wrong with these other than they are slightly thinner - by just 1/4 inch and they already have grooves added. Thus only a slight discount.
Walnut tends to be our favorite of the Big 3 (Maple, Cherry and Walnut) because of its ease on a knifes edge and how easy it is to maintain. Walnut perks right up with a little oil and love. We also love the light and dark contrast that is often seen in Walnut.
