Thousands of small pieces of high quality Maple are meticulously combined to craft these one-of-a-kind boards. Each mosaic cutting board will be completely unique; pictures are just a few of the possibilities. These are a labor of love; the value of the hardwood used in a typical 18" X 24" mosaic block approaches $400... before any work is done.
We make 2 kinds of mosaic boards - rectilinear (all square and rectangular pieces) and angular (all angular pieces). Please refer to the pictures and description to know which one this is.
We rarely offer these boards because they are so laborious to make, so if you like it you should grab it.
Feet WILL be installed on this board unless you ask us not to.
You can also order finger grooves, a juice groove and/or engraving at checkout.
Most maple has mineral marks within the wood. It is how the tree goes with its unique idiosyncrasies. Since Maple is a lighter wood, those mineral streaks are very visible. These marks can't totally be avoided. In this case, the board has a few visible marks.
