Even though we have our system down to a science and have an extremely skilled team, sometimes the board just doesn't fully cooperate. Even though this board is completely structurally sound, we don't like for the glue joints to be as visible. Honestly, it isn't super noticeable, but we are picky. :) So this one gets a bit of a discount.
Feet will NOT come standard on this board, but if you order a set we will be happy to install them for you.
You can also order finger grooves, a juice groove and/or engraving at checkout.
Most maple has mineral marks within the wood. It is how the tree goes with its unique indiosyncracies. Since Maple is a lighter wood, those mineral streaks are very visible. These marks can't totally be avoided. In this case, the board is very "clean" and beautiful board, meaning few mineral marks are visible.
Maple cutting boards need a lot of oil, so please don't forget to add a care kit! All cutting boards need to be oiled to full saturation, but especially maple!
