Occasionally we have a pretty board that has a few more voids or mineral streaks than we'd like to see on what we consider our premium boards. As we know from Wisdom Behind the Wood, almost all Maple has mineral streaks. It is the nature of Maple. We try to minimize them when we can, but they don't affect quality, form or function. But we give them a little discount because they might not match everyone's personal aesthetic preference.
Walnut doesn't really have mineral streaks, but this one ended up with a couple bigger voids on the back of the board that we had to fill. So it warranted a small discount. It's a pretty board and we don't have walnuts this size very often on our sales page. So strike with the iron's hot!
Feet will NOT come standard on this board, but if you order a set we will be happy to install them for you.
