Occasionally we have a pretty board that has a few more voids or mineral streaks than we'd like to see on what we consider our premium boards. As we know from Wisdom Behind the Wood, almost all Maple has mineral streaks. It is the nature of Maple. We try to minimize them when we can, but they don't affect quality, form or function. But we give them a little discount because they might not match everyone's personal aesthetic preference.
In this case, the walnut doesn't have mineral streaks, but it has a couple larger filled voids on the bottom of the board. Nothing that will affect it structurally or aesthetically since the voids are on the bottom.
Feet will NOT come standard on this board, but if you order a set we will be happy to install them for you.
