We rarely make Edge Grain Boards with our left over strips, but they are just as pretty as our End Grain. An edge grain board is built with long strips of wood glued together laterally. An end grain block is comprised of lots of smaller blocks of wood glued vertically. You can learn more about the difference in this video if you are interested.
End Grain boards are easier on a knife's edge and don't show knife marks as prominently. Edge Grain (sometimes called Face Grain) boards are less expensive because they take less wood and less labor.
We can add a ruler (just add engraving to your order) if you'd like. The ruler comes standard on our normal Edge Grain boards, so add it here if you would like one.
Feet will NOT be installed but you can add them if you'd like. Perimeter groove and/or finger grooves can also be added.
We recommend cutting on one side and using the other side as a display and charcuterie surface. These make great gifts!
