This beautiful board is what we consider a "one-off". This board is our normal Butcher size, but we felt the glue joints were a little more obvious than what we typically like to see. We prefer tighter glue joints.
Walnut tends to be our favorite of the Big 3 (Maple, Cherry and Walnut) because of its ease on a knife's edge and how easy it is to maintain. Walnut perks right up with a little oil and love.
We often get requests for "darker" walnut. We do not have control over the batches of wood that we buy - we can't control how the tree grows and how much sap wood it contains. So this darker wood is a rarer find. If you prefer the almost black look of walnut, this is your board.
Feet are NOT included with this purchase, but if you buy a set of feet we will install them for you.
You can add grooves/engraving for an additional fee as well.
