Thousands of small pieces of high quality Maple, Walnut, and Cherry are meticulously combined to craft these one-of-a-kind boards. Each mosaic cutting board will be completely unique; pictures are just a few of the possibilities. These are a labor of love; the value of the hardwood used in a typical 18" X 24" mosaic block approaches $400... before any work is done.
Be sure to order well in advance, as these are labour intensive and made-to-order. Please allow at least 4-6 weeks prior to shipping for your maple, cherry, & walnut cutting board.
Note: The first picture in this gallery shows a rectilinear mosaic board (all square and rectangular pieces), while a subsequent picture shows an angular mosaic board (all angular pieces). If you prefer a specific style, just let us know in the 'notes' section at checkout. If no preference is given, we will make a rectilinear board. Any other preferences, feel free to email us at sawdust@theboardsmith.com and we'll be happy to collaborate.

It took a long time (about 8 weeks) to receive the board, but this is just a heads up if you’re going to purchase a board. The wait was long but IT IS WORTH IT! Such a beautiful piece, no regrets at all, and I will 100% be buying more. The quality was as expected. To be honest it would take me years to build something like that, so 8 weeks is very fast.
