Occasionally we choose to relegate some of our pretty boards to the Seconds page because our Team feels that it might not be as aesthetically pleasing to all tastes.
All maple has some marking or streaking that is organic to the wood. You can read more about it Wisdom Behind the Wood and FAQ (under Trouble Shooting). It doesn't affect form or function. This one had a few too many mineral streaks and blemishes for us to sell at full price. There is nothing wrong with it and it should still last you for years to come if you take good care of it.
This is our large Big Block Maple and Walnut Border Board at 24 x 18. It also has Finger Grooves.
